Welcome to my website. I want to invite you to go on a journey with me today. The journey begins when you open the cover of a book and sit down to open your mind and imagination to the words written inside. Books can bring adventure and excitement anywhere that you find yourself. Fiction or non-fiction books can be inspirational, they can bring forth emotions of joy, anger, or perhaps, inspire courage to name a few. When you are in the pages of a novel, you familiarize yourself with the characters. You begin to place yourself in their world and timeline. You begin to experience what they experience; good or bad. What an exciting journey at your disposal!
There are so many tremendous books out there in the world, too many to name. I will however mention one book that has been exciting and inspirational to me for many years and that is God's Word, the Holy Bible. This website will have my books and information that will touch you for the moment. However, when you read the Bible, God's Word, it will impact you for a lifetime.
My business name is Richwood Books, for tax purposes and such, in case you're wondering. What a journey this has been to write and get a book published, create a website, and all the other things that go along with the process. If you buy a book or eBook from, say, Amazon would you please send in a review. It let's others know what you thought about the book and it gives me, the author, some useful criticism (be kind please).
I am a pastor now and have a great church with a lot of wonderful people, but I haven't always been 'A man of the cloth' so to speak. I went through some of life's bitter challenges that taught me some lasting lessons about myself and people in general. I brought most of the bitterness on myself by abusing drugs and alcohol. I know first hand what it's like to need help from a power greater than myself but not being able to find that power. When I came to the end of myself, God found me; that's the easiest way I can state it. By His great grace and mercy alone He helped me and He continues helping me everyday.
I began to write, not right away, but later in life. Life sometimes has a way of interrupting our greatest of plans. I had a journalism professor in college who encouraged us all to be authors so I have always had writing a book at the back of my mind. My wife Cindy and I raised five children, all girls. They have all since left the nest and gone on to professions of their own and raising families of their own. That took awhile, but in time I published my first book. That was only about a year ago. If you look at my picture in the, About the Author page, you can see that I'm no spring chicken. In other words I finally got around to writing for real.
My books are Christian fiction. I have a lot of life's lessons to draw from. I'm a romanticist, that means there's always a love story in my books. You'll find excitement, love, infatuation, spirituality, and relationships in my books. I believe the Holy Spirit prompted me to begin writing and you will see Holy Ghost scenes and lessons in my writing.
My book Alluring Deception has been out for over a year and my new book, Gabriel's Station, is now on the book shelves. I have read my own books many times and I still really like them, go figure. It must be the Holy Ghost presence in the books because I feel like I didn't have too much to do with the content, I just had the job of writing it all down.
I hope that you will enjoy my books and share them with others. If you ever have a question for me please feel free to email me at [email protected]. God bless you.
